It’s Time to Talk About Mental Health — Together

November 25, 2025   |   Documentary Film, Identity, Video Production

We are wired for connection. Yet conversations about mental health often stay hidden. With support from the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), Family Services is working to change that through It’s Time to Talk About Mental Health—a campaign developed and designed Drake Creative.

The campaign shows up in everyday places: on buses, in laundromats and bodegas, online, and even as trading cards in schools. The goal is simple—make conversations about mental health part of daily life.

At its center are five real stories. One belongs to Johnny. He was born with a cleft palate and faced years of medical, as well as other, traumas. For a long time, he believed he didn’t belong. Through therapy, support, and LGBTQIA2+ community, he found connection, strength, and a new story about himself.

Johnny shows us that speaking up isn’t weakness—it’s courage. And when someone shares their struggle, the most powerful response is, “I’m here.”
