NECC communications strategy and visual identity

This project for the Northeast Community Center included both communications strategy and visual identity. We worked with staff, board, and stakeholders in the region to get an understanding of what NECC does and what it means to people.
The importance of being welcoming, listening and responding to what the local population says, and bringing people together were clear through every stage of the project. We created the room for that to inform what they say and how they look.
NECC does a lot – programs for all ages from toddler to senior, jobs for teens, case management, income tax assistance, area transportation, food access, education and I’m just getting started. We needed to uncover what they do best. What do they do that applies to everything they do for the people in their region. It became clear that they bring people together to answer community needs.
That’s an organization that listens. That responds. That innovates. That builds community.
It’s a source of warmth and life and beauty for the area. Kind of like the sun.
