Powerful stories with style

Powerful stories with style

As the Hudson Valley verges on both economic and population booms, the Walkway Over the Hudson serves as a great symbol of the work that’s been done to bring focus to this beautiful region.

We consider ourselves exceedingly lucky to work with any client who feeds us. In creating identities for the restaurants owned by the family-owned and operated Vanikiotis Group, we wanted to evoke a similar feel for each, while giving the different locations their own identities.

A pitch deck has to tell its story immediately, because if you’re lucky enough to get a couple of seconds of a major producer’s time, you don’t want to waste those seconds.
The first restaurant we re-branding for the Vanikiotis Group was the Palace Diner in Poughkeepsie. We were having fun with them and the message that drove everything we did was “Good Food with Attitude.”
With that in mind, we developed an irreverent and humorous ad series, and honestly we can’t believe they approved some of these.

Challenge what the world sees

The Maplebrook School is a boarding and day school that serves children with learning challenges. The goal of their capital campaign was to create an institution that could continue their mission far into the future, developing arts and fitness centers, a larger, modernized dining hall and additional housing.
The sequences in John Cariagne’s play Almost Maine are broken up by aurora borealis. Quite often this is created with stage lighting and the results can be underwhelming.

Helping Hudson Valley nonprofits
Alison knows what she likes and what she wants. As we worked with her, we started calling her style metro-Victorian.
